Australia has unique places that when you visit you are forever engraved in your mind and your heart.
We have made list the 10 most important reasons to visit Australia, although we believe that this land full of wonders has many more. Its imposing nature, paradisiacal beaches, unique animals, passion for sports, cultural diversity, excellent wines, cities with the highest quality of life make the thousands of kilometers that separate us to visit it worthwhile.
Here goes the list:
1- The largest barrier reef in the world
James Cook, an English explorer, was the first to realize that these waters guarded a great treasure: the largest barrier reef in the world. Today is a World Heritage Site, and how not to be, considered the largest biodiversity on the planet 348,700 km² and the only living being visible from space. And the best we are going to have the privilege of knowing him!
2- Stunning natural landscapes
Nature is a great creator of surreal places, of those that you have to blink several times to realize that you are awake. And Australia received, in compensation with its geographical isolation, majestic landscapes throughout the country. The stunning views of Great Ocean Road, an excursion that you can do if you visit Melbourne.
3-Sydney
It is considered one of the best cities in the world because it knows how to perfectly combine nature, culture, financial stability, art, gastronomy, safety, history, quality of life, fashion, sports. All in a relaxed balance, very Australian style.
Plus half an hour away there are spectacular beaches such as Bondi Beach with pools facing the sea, two hours away from the incredible Blue Mountains with dreamlike landscapes and 90 minutes from one of the most prestigious wine valleys in the world.

4-Melbourne
It is the second most important city in Australia and the largest in the country. Melbourne between modern buildings and its preserved Victorian architecture vibrates "bon vivant". You can find everything from street markets to the elegant rooftop. Perhaps because of its multicultural origin, nowadays it is an open city willing to please even the most eccentric tourist.
The city has been recognized as the capital of sport but its greatest merit is having been named for 7 consecutive years as one of the best cities in the world to live.
5- Cairns
This is the base city to visit the Great Barrier Reef but it is not the only attraction. Daintree National Park is the oldest tropical forest on the planet and the most abundant variety of species of Australian flora and fauna, does not disappoint those who want to have an experience in an authentic contact with nature in its purest state. In addition, Cairns is famous for its paradisiacal beaches of white sands and turquoise waters. In the city, we can find a variety of bars, restaurants, and an intense nightlife.
6- Unique animals
Australia has many native and unique animals as the three groups of mammals: the monotremes, the marsupials, and the placenta. Inside the marsupials are the famous kangaroos and koalas. It has more than 800 species of birds, two kinds of crocodiles unique in the world, 4 000 varieties of fish, 21 species of the most poisonous snakes in the world and 50 types of marine mammals. Now we understand because for many tourists the animals of Australia are one of the main attractions.
7- Sports
Australia is proud to be one of the countries that most practice sports, attend and follow their athletes to accompany their triumphs around the world. Famous for having great sporting events such as the Grand Slam of tennis, the Rugby World Cup or the Australian Grand Prix of Formula 1.
